Job Title: Quality Engineer


Location: This is a full-time role, open to remote candidates based in Ireland.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer (QE) to join our growing team. This is a, full-time role, open to remote candidates based in Ireland.

This is not a pure automation role — while experience in automation is highly valued, we’re seeking someone equally comfortable writing and executing manual tests. The ideal candidate thrives on variety: from writing automated scripts, to digging into manual exploratory testing, to ensuring our mobile SDK performs flawlessly.

You’ll be part of a collaborative QA team, working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the highest quality software products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the QA Lead to define, execute, and continuously improve both manual and automated testing strategies.

  • Set up and maintain automation test environments.

  • Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g. Playwright).

  • Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications, with a focus on mobile SDKs (mandatory).

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to performance, security, device/browser compatibility, and functionality.

  • Manage defect tracking and resolution processes in a consistent and documented way.

  • Actively contribute to CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and work with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Elastic).

  • Mentor and support other team members in QA best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with automation testing of web applications using tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

  • Strong experience in mobile testing (including working with mobile SDKs) — this is mandatory.

  • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Elastic).

  • Experience with digging into Database in particular MongoDB.

  • Solid understanding of QA concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience creating or enhancing test automation frameworks.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, Ruby on Rails.

  • Experience with security testing of web applications.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS).
